Terms & Policies
Everything you'd want to know before we work together — in plain English. Booking a project means you agree to these terms.
What I do
I source and curate furniture, lighting, and decor — and, when you'd like, place orders through my trade accounts on your behalf. I'm your sourcing and ordering service. I'm not a full-service interior designer on your project: no space planning, drawings, installation, project management, or receiving.
Services & fees
All fees are paid in full upfront and are non-refundable — they pay for my time and expertise, not for the goods.
The in-home visit
Every project starts with a $200 in-home visit, where I measure the space myself. If I go on to place your orders, that $200 is credited toward your $200 Trade Ordering fee — you never pay it twice.
Why it's required: sourcing is only as good as the measurements. A coffee table that's four inches too tall or a console that's wider than the wall isn't a small problem — trade orders are final, so it's an expensive one. Taking the measurements myself is how I prevent it.
How rooms are priced
- Large Space / Multi-Room covers one open-concept space, or two rooms that flow together and are sourced as one.
- Three or more separate rooms are priced room by room, each at its own package tier. Rooms can be done all at once or in phases — your call.
- An open kitchen and the living area it opens onto count as one space, not two.
Items vs. add-on categories
- An item is a product I find and send you a link to — a mirror, a lamp, a chair, a vanity, a faucet, a piece of art. That's what the package tiers count.
- An add-on category is a material that has to be measured, sampled, and calculated: wallpaper, tile, paint, fabrics & window treatments. These are a different kind of work — quantity math and waste factor, physical samples, technical specs, and coordinating with your installer to confirm amounts before ordering.
- Categories are separate from your item count. Wallpaper in a five-item room doesn't make it six items — it's the room package plus the category.
- A single rug is an item. Rugs become a category only when it's multiple rugs across a home.
- Decor and accessories are counted per location, not per object. Styling one surface — a console, a mantel, a shelf, one wall — is one item, and includes up to about five pieces. Each additional surface is another item. A gallery wall is priced separately, since the layout has to be measured and planned.
Trades & installation
I don't install, and I don't manage contractors or trades. Where I know someone good, I'm glad to recommend them — you hire and pay them directly, and their work and scheduling are between you and them.
For measured materials like wallpaper and tile, your installer confirms the final quantities before we order. It's the one thing you don't want to under-order.
How ordering works
- You approve the exact items in writing (email is fine) — item, quantity, and price.
- I invoice you for the full cost of the goods plus my $200 ordering fee — one fee for the whole project, however many vendors your pieces come from. I place the order only after payment clears.
- I send you order confirmations and tracking numbers. My ordering service is complete when tracking is delivered to you.
- If you decide to order more later, that's a new ordering round with its own $200 fee.
Returns, damage & changes of mind
- Some pieces are final once placed — to-the-trade vendors in particular rarely accept casual returns. Others are more flexible. I'll tell you which is which before you commit, and that's exactly why we confirm every piece in writing before I order.
- Anything I order sits on my trade account, in my name. That means a return has to come back through me rather than you handling it directly with the vendor — which is what the fee below covers.
- Damaged or defective, reported within 5 days of delivery (with photos): I handle the vendor claim for you at no charge — it's part of the service. Replacements or refunds come from the vendor; I don't personally refund goods.
- After the 5-day window: vendors close their damage-claim windows fast, so it often can't be covered. If you'd still like me to try, that's a $75 Concierge Return fee, with no guarantee the vendor says yes.
- Changed your mind: if the vendor will accept a return, you pay their restocking fee and return shipping, plus my $75 Concierge Return fee. I refund the goods portion when and only when the vendor refunds me.
- I'm not responsible for vendor delays, discontinued items, delivery scheduling, receiving, storage, assembly, or installation.
The small print
- Quotes are valid for 7 days — vendor pricing and stock change fast.
- Each package includes one round of revisions. If you'd like a fresh set of options after that, we can talk about a follow-up package.
- Trade pricing. My trade accounts are mine and aren't transferable. When I place an order for you, the trade pricing I receive is reflected in what you pay — that access is part of what the $200 ordering fee covers. If you'd rather order everything yourself at retail, that's completely fine; there's simply no ordering fee.
- Either of us can end an engagement before items are ordered; completed work stays paid for.
- Questions between packages are always welcome; new scope is a new package.
